Compliance Auditing - Fire Door Inspection & Reporting
Compliance auditing is a comprehensive review of an organization's adherence to regulatory guidelines. Having your sliding / automatic closing fire doors serviced is crucial to ensuring that in the event of a fire they are capable of preventing the spread of smoke and fire within your premises. Fire doors should always remain clear of obstructions and in the case of sliding fire doors, should have the tracks kept dust-free and obstacle-free.
Regular maintenance of fire doors is normally a requirement of your insurance company.
All of our fire door servicing is carried out in accordance with AS1851:2005 section 17 by our fully qualified technicians at your premises.
Minor repairs to fire doors can be carried out when required.
AS1851:2005 section 17 requires all fire door systems to be tested/serviced on a 3 monthly basis and inspected on a yearly basis. You will find that servicing is a requirement specified by your insurance company. They will also require the completion of a logbook of all testing on the fire doors. If you do not have a logbook, they are available from our technicians or from our website here. If you already have a fire door log book we will be more than happy to continue using this.
The Australian standard AS1851:2005 section 17 relates to fire door system servicing and testing and is the basis for all fire door servicing carried out by our technicians.
