Australian Fire Control is a major supplier of fire & smoke-rated special purpose building products such as vertically descending automatic curtains [steel woven fabric, motorized shutters],
windows & doors into the Australian construction and Bushfire industry. These products are manufactured & distributed from our Perth-based factory.
We seek skilled & versatile contractors to carry out the installation & commissioning of this high-quality range of tested systems into Victoria, NSW, SA, Qld & Tasmania.
Who would suit this role?

An independent carpenter who has their own registered ABN wanting to either supplement an existing income or build this into a standalone business.

A suitably skilled contractor looking for a fresh start. Tired of fitting skirting all day.

What do we expect?

Reliable & presentable vehicle [ute/van/trailer] plus quality tools.

Most installation requires two persons, therefore access to a T/A or similar would be advantageous although not essential in the first instance.

Full insurances. Workers Comp & Public Liability as a minimum. We can assist with this.

Understanding of Worksafe requirements, Take-5’s, SWMS, JSA’s, etc.

Construction skills and/or carpentry background [carpentry qualification ideal]

The ability to liaise with on-site clients and conduct site measure/take-offs.

Intelligence – the ability to be trained in fire & smoke performance within buildings, to understand the importance of complying with tested prototypes, to develop an understanding of Australian Standards & the NCC.

Must be proficient in reading Architectural Plans and the use of Microsoft Suite.

Able to pass a drug/alcohol screen.
