FIRE CURTAINS
Fire Curtains are used to create a fire compartment, creating open spaces allowing designers to remove
non-load bearing walls and doors.
SMOKE CURTAINS & BAFFLES
Smoke Baffles can either be a curtain style of a static glass system, AFC offer both. The purpose; to contain smoke during a building fire and prevent the smoke from spreading to other areas.
FIRE STOPPING
Service penetration seals are passive fire protection systems designed to maintain the fire resistance of a building element or section – wall or floor – where services such as cables, cable trays, pipes or ventilation ducts pass through them.
ATTENUATION SCREENS
The Defender Fire Attenuation Screen is designed to protect window openings that are less than 3m from a property boundary or within 6m of another building in the same allotment.
Their purpose is to reduce any radiant heat transmitted from one area to another, helping to prevent the spread of fire between buildings.
STEEL PROTECTION
Intumescent Coatings are designed to limit the heat upon the steel members – therefore a piece of steel may get hot & heat up but not allow the spread of flame through. The heat upon the steel will soften the steel & reduce its structural capacity.
AUDITS & MAINTENANCE
AS 1851 (Australian Standards 1851) is a set of rules and regulations that ensure building owners are compliant in meeting the safety standards imposed on fire protection systems.
As well as AFC providing the service of AS 1851 maintenance, AFC can complete a compressive fire safety audit and report/quote on rectifications required.
